Yes, the menu options at the bottom are accessible via the function keys.
Eg. File = F1
Options = F2
Start = F3

etc...

After playing DW:U quite a lot, it's fast becoming my favourite space 4X to replace my Stars! addiction :)

Ah, the memories of VGA Planets on a BBS in my hometown, back in the early 90s. Great fun!
