RHS Scanario 102 map
I think there's something wrong with it. The pic show the NW corner but there are a lot of similar problem on the north map area and also to the east. All the units are stuck in limbo and cannot be licked on.

RHS Level I uses the stock map. Are you sure you haven't installed the extended map from BigBabes C scenarios?

No I not. When I started RHS I created a new folder from one of two I already had. One had the extended map installed but I knew it used stock. I'll check later.

OK the pic below is Scenario 1 at start and as you can see it's stock. If I close that and start scenario 102 or any of the RHS scenarios I get the first image?

RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
Is it possible I've installed the mod incorrectly? All I did was change the default c:\RHS\WitP folder to intall to c:\Matrix games\WitP AE RHS folder. If I don't install to the main WitP folder I cannot see the scenarios. E.g. to C:\RHS or even c:\Matrix games\WitP AE RHS\RHS folder. I've spent some considerable time setting up my first turn only to find this problem when I was half way though. It's frustrating.

RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
In case it was me that caused the problem I've uninstalled /deleted WitP AE from my computer. I carried out a clean install with no mods just the latest official patch and the latest beta patch. When I start a new scenario the map is fine. Copied this folder naming the folder WitP AE RHS. I then installed RHS mod too it. As before I get this map problem. Not a happy bunny at the moment.
RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
Try this.
Create manually c:\RHS\WitP AE folder
Make a clean install of WITAP AE in c:\RHS\WitP AE folder.
Update the game to the latest beta patch.
In the WITP AE folder create a folder ! RHS Manual files. The folder can be named differently, it doesn't matter This will be the folder where you will install the RHS installer files.
Download latest level I RHS installer and install it in ! RHS Manual folder. You should see the ART, SCEN, PWHEXE and RHS documentation folders after isntallation Copy those folders manually to to the main WITP AE folder. The folder will overwrite the stock ART, SCEN etc. Don 't forget to copy pwshexe.dat file to the main WITP AE folder.
Why the hassle? It seems if you install the RHS installer automatically it sometime does not update all the files in ART SCEN PWHEXE. I always use the manual procedure to avoid any errors in game.
See if it works for you.

RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
I'm now on my 10-11 ( I've lost count) attempt, 6 of them with clean installs i.e. all vestiges of WitP AE removed from. I did get it to work once, but made the mistake of noticing there was a link to an extended map version in this link http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3088504.
So I tried installing it along with the extended maps in dababes. I assume this was the extended maps intended. This install also had problems, Russia and on the east of the map. I decided to uninstall and go back to the stock in case I was using the wrong extended map.
All that happened 2 hrs ago. Since then I have been unable to get the stock to work, same old error.
I've currently got a clean machine as far as AE is concerned and I will try one last time. I fit does not I'll look elsewhere for a scenario.

RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
I don't bother following RHS work so this is not necessarily relevant to your problem.
Have a read of the last page in this thread:
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4006288&mpage=2
Reference (and new links provided on several occasions) to the need to have
pwzlink.dat
pwzone.dat
files to correct problems with extended map. I didn't see these on your screenshot so that might be a lead for you to follow up on.

There something missing for sure this might help but my patience is quickly running out. Thanks

RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
I'm done. Pity it looked interesting but simply cannot get it to work, either stock or extended.
RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
When you install RHS using my manual method you should have pwhexe.dat file in PWHEXE RHS folder. You need to copy it and drop it in the main WITP AE folder.
I had several problems with RHS installer when I ran it automatically. I have had none since I started to unload it in temporary manual folder and then copying the files manually.
BTW, are you sure your installer is not for RHS Level II? Only Level I works with the stock map .
Here is the latest Level I installer:

I have used your manual install method since you told me about it. I've also tried all the other stuff in various combinations. I'll give it one more chance,

RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
Sorry! still did not work. That was my final attempt. Are you sure all necessary file are in the MSI or you don't have any that should not be there.
Personally I think the MSI installer should be scrapped and the files just zipped. Don't know if it would cure whatever the problem is but it can't hurt.

Uhm, I am out of ideas. My RHS version works fine.
Contact Sid about it.

RE: RHS Scanario 102 map
RHS Level II is still in development. And it is specifically the off map hexes we are working on.
With the help of Dave Bradley I understand at least what needs to be done. But it turns out I do
not have the correct version of the pwhexe.dat editor to do it. When I get it (likely tomorrow)
I must now redo EVERY Level II pwhexe.dat file with respect to the (three) new locations, plus
several "entry/exit" hexes associated with them. I need to issue a complete set of new files
with new pwzone.dat and pwzlink.dat files, and slightly modified location files.
Level II scenarios 101 to 105 actually work EXCEPT with respect to those hexes and even games
started before now should work properly when these files are updated. It turns out there are problem
in three editors (one of which has already been fixed). When I have the new pwhexe.dat editor
I will ALSO issue stock and Extended map pwhexe.dat files with several eratta fixed for ALL mods that
use them. Several of these are on map, others are off map. Just as I issued corrected pwzone.dat
files for both standard and extended map games - posted in this forum - once I understood how to do that.
Then I will start the huge task of making about 26 pwhexe.dat files for RHS Level II. It is possible I
will first issue a simplified Level II file set WITHOUT the new off map hexes. See the Level II thread
for details (likely tomorrow).
