Polaris Sector

I have to say this is pretty good galactic strategy game here, almost compare to Distant Worlds, but there are up and down.

Polaris have excellent research trees and Distant Worlds doesn't. But Distant Worlds has good resources laidout over Polaris.


When I first got this game (Polaris) it was okay, just wasn't comfortable with the race/species setup, so I manage to make my own...

all names can be changed as well, plus just about everything else in the game can be modded to suit what ever you want and like, right from day one, long term appeal on this one.

When they finish up or final patch for that game, then I will rework it and polish it. That game remind me of Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain, a good popular game back then. I am even playing soundtracks from that game.

For some reasons I didn't like the race setups or the soundtracks, most realistic players doesn't like cartoonish race/species. Note there are some good space themes on youtube, if you can find them. Listen to that while playing really shine.

The game it self is pretty good, felt almost the real thing, except the resouces, it should be local only, not in the pool.

Looking forward to grab Stellaris on the May 9th.

They did a great job on it, just need some polish and improvement.

Hopefully others will look into it and if they like Distant Worlds, they will like this one too.

The 1.04 update has a lot of additional modding support added so check it out when it releases.
