Have been looking at the log and seems there may be an event that isn't being triggered correctly.

Could you try this please:
Start the game, go to Game -> Game Options, UN-check 'Allow switching to High-Performance power scheme', and restart the sim. Is it starting normally now?

Also, what is your computer brand/model? Laptop? Home-made rig?

Can you please do a P2V conversion of your rig, sanitize the resultant VM and upload it somewhere for us? (Notify us via PM of course). This is the only practical way to 100% reproduce your specific environment and see what is going on. As it is, the problem is simply not showing up on any of our systems.

Sunburn: A P2V conversion will be difficult as I have never carried one out. Is there a specific application that you would recommend for this purpose? Is it necessary to upload only the windows installation or the entire hard drive? I am not sure how I would go about uploading a 600 GB hard drive.

Actually that's exactly what I did for the "B820 Exception log" that I attached earlier today. I did a clean re-install of command and applied B820 after 1.10.

Anyway, it seems like I'm the only user who is encountering such problems. Do you think there is any possibility that an update to Windows 10 may solve this problem? I have been meaning to update anyway.

We've had display issues with users who have used Raptr and Nahimic for example. So nothing like this correct?

Hmmmmmm weird... could you try to re-install the Command pre-requisite pack? Especially the DirectX package? Another possible cause could be incompatible DLLs. And please also grab the very latest RC.

Does it run ok now?

I re-installed Command after installing Windows 10. Direct X packages were installed during installation. Build 821 is also having the same problem.

Just throwing in some ideas... You have updated to Win10 and it wasn't a fresh install, right?

Maybe something is wrong with the user profile and it moved that problem over with the update? Create a new profile that has admin rights.

Or something is wrong with the user rights structure of the Command folder on your system.

Maybe move the Command folder to another drive.

Try running Command.exe with Admin rights.

Or if you run it from Steam globally disable the Steam Overlay feature.

Thanks for the ideas, I tried a complete re-install after installing windows 10 and it didn't help. I also tried running Command with admin rights. It had no effect. It may be time to throw in the towel at this point...

Here's a little bit of information that's peculiar, but probably meaningless.
After updating to windows 10, I get a strange little box that pops up before the map loads in 1.10. This doesn't occur for B821.

That screenshot shows v1.09, so you don't use Steam. In theory it shouldn't make a difference, but I would try and install the Steam version. You can get it for free:

We've dicussed this again, and seems like there could be a DirectX/graphics issue...

So perhaps one last-ditch attempt... could you try to install 1.09 first, then 1.10, and then 1.11? All on top of each other?

The 1.09 installer is a bit different from 1.10. Im curious if any of the things added/removed may have an effect.

During the Remote Desktop session we had last week you showed me that you also had a second Command installation that didn't run at all. Is this one working under Windows 10? Or are the access/rights issues still there?

I downloaded the steam version and RC11 works perfectly! Thanks a lot!

P.S. For potentially similar issues in the future:
The original Command application still didn't execute under Windows 10 and I tried installing 1.09 then 1.10 and finally 1.11 all on top, to no effect. If a similar issues comes up with other users, I'd be willing to return to the problem.
