[Q] Steam Update?

Do we have a Steam Update scheduled any time soon. I have a real strong desire to play some Command. So, I downloaded all of the new scenarios into my Steam file and I fired up the game. Anytime I try to start one of the new scenarios, nothing happens. The game kind of pauses for a moment, then just continued to display the scenario selection screen.

I can only assume that this is because Steam currently has like Build 775.

Only official patches make it to steam. You can use the beta patch with Steam without problems though. Just copy the files in the right directory.

I do find it strange that the scenario packs are not set to run on the latest Official Update, but rather on the current one. I'm hoping they change that, because, on average, the Official Updates of Harpoon are like 20 builds back (consistently).

I'm thankful for our Dev. team. But if we are going to constantly release new builds, maybe every build should just be published to Steam to keep us all up to date together. I really don't want to have to manually update all the time. I used to do that. I changed over to the Steam version so I wouldn't have to anymore, and then discovered that it didn't update all the time, only when there was an Official one.

LD thanks for bringing this up. We struggle to keep everybody happy but will try and improve the process as we learn more. This input definitely does help!
