Slightly OT...SPWW2 and SPMBT

Post by SkidLid »

I know this a Matrix forum, but I was wondering if anyone has got either of these games to run under WinXP Home? The notes with the game say my vid card (GeForce2 MX-400) is to blame for my problems and must be replaced. This isnt really an option for me,so does anyone know of a workaround?
Thanks for your time.

You have two options, either change video cards or forget about running the games. If you can't change the video card because it is in a computer you don't own, then go ahead and buy a comp to play on. The GF2mx just won't work, there is nothing you can do to get around that. It is a cheap 3d card but it sucks as a 2d card for older video modes.

Once you get another video card, or computer then you face sound card and mouse issues, especially if you use a usb mouse.

I have both SPWAW and SPWW2 (as well as SP and SP2) on this comp, but I am using a voodoo 3, not as nice for 3d but it does 2d better. Even though my video card is from closer to the time that SP etc came out, it still needs univesa loaded to run SP etc. It does fine with SPWAW, which may be your only choice for this sort of game on a GF2mx.
thanks, John.

Question about SPMBT

Post by sandman20 »

Hi!

Actually I have a question about SPMBT as well. I just downloaded it and my problem is low speed mouse scrolling.
First, the screen scroll speed was low also, but I succeeded to increase it by modifying the SPMBT.ini file.
But I've no idea how to increase mouse scrolling speed, it's quite frustrating to push & pull the mouse around the table:rolleyes:

I have a Win XP Pro, Amd XP2000 768 MB RAM,GeForce4 128 Mb, if that helps.

Any help appreciated, thanks.;)

Saw it over there and didn't "see"it , I guess. I've got a GF2Mx card and I can't get them to run at all. Oh, well, next upgrade isn't too far away. Good luck.
