US Zero squadrons

Post by frizt »

I have captured Truk in June 43. Guess what I have found in August 43? Several Zero, Kate and Val squdrons showed up in Brisbane!!! Now I have a airfleet with Japanese aircraft! The squadron name, aircraft type, pilot name remained Japanese, except the graphics has been changed to allied aircraft.
How nice! Now I have a Japanese Volunteer Airforce, with the pilots recruited directly from POW camp. :-D
Did it happen to anyone else?

What version are using?

Did you patch (upgrade) the game then continued from a saved game.

I've only see this with custom scenarios (edited) after updating the game with patches.

My guess is the changes in the database from some the patches, caused this to happen.

You may what to post this under problems.

When you capture Truk as the Allies, or Noumea as the Japanese, all kinds of odd things start happening. Usually, it's time to take the George Herbert Walker Bush approach, declare victory, and wait for the Nobel committee to award you the peace prize for fighting a war ...
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

Taking Truk in June of 43 doesn't leave that much else to do or accomplish in a game vs the AI.

The thing to do now is find a PBEM opponent and take Truk by 1943. :D
