quickly selecting multiple units/stacks

Hi,

I often issue the same order to different stacks that for example belong to the same company.

My current solution to achieve this is to 1) hover a stack and wait for the popup menu 2) shift-click every single unit. 3) Hover the next stack and repeat 2).

Even with the hover menu appearance set to fast this feels extremely counter-intuitive and sluggish. The same goes for clicking the tiny edges of the counters or rotating the stacks in order to shift click them. Too many click/hotkey operations are involved.

Is there a way to enable a "selection box" to quickly select multiple units or perhaps an easier solution I may have overlooked?

If you select the OB tab on the left side.

Select the units you want while holding the shift pressed.

After selecting the units give the order.

Even faster way to get all the units under a given HQ is to hold down the alt key and click on the HQ. This will select all subunits and the HQs under the parent you clicked on. Then right click any selected unit to issue the order.

Thank you Mad Russian! Good to know that you´re working on improvements for your upcoming title. Is there already a rough ETA for Southern Storm?

Thank you. Yeah identified this alternative also. The OB Screen lacks unfortunately a visual cue for what units are already selected right now but it comes in handy sometimes especially in the setup phase.
