When we see the results of the first attack at Hong Kong, that should give us an idea of how quickly the "main spearhead" will be free to move on. If looks like the flanking force will take Changsha - maybe - and should be in contact with Ichang in a week or so. It's also part of the flanking force plus part of the mountain holdouts that are heading for the plain (I think it's called Neikang, city to the left of Chungking).

If the modest forces assigned can get Nanchang (with air support they should be able to) the host at Hong Kong will be able to almost all use strategic road movement to get to the front.

A very minor landing at Swatow in the next few days (on the coast east of Hong Kong). The Hokkaido landings are on schedule for middle of February, as much sooner as I can swing it (which might be 'not sooner').

I think there will still be some distance to go. It's at something like 1,250 for one side and 250 for the other side, but I forget which is which. And of course in a ratio that is critical information! I'll take a look next time (which ought to be tomorrow), but even if I get a couple of thousand in troop points there will still be some ground to cover. When Hokkaido is captured and mopped up, should be awfully close if not over.

We'll wait for the HQ to move up, which will also give us additional preparation. The Empire is abandoning Nanchang, so our units which just began moving there in coordinated fashion are now speeding up their movement (fastest for each unit). If the Imperials leave the base empty before units arrive by ground movement we have paratroopers ready to drop. All units but one division, with 16% disruption, are fully ready to attack at Hong Kong, so all units attack tomorrow.

On Luzon, all combat units have made it to Atimonan and will attack tomorrow. They are facing >21,000 Imperial troops, so this might be a resistance point for the Empire.

With Hong Kong we also gained 45 Resources, 5 Heavy Industry, 59 Light Industry, and 37 + 13 damaged Repair Shipyard. It seems 1 Repair Shipyard point was destroyed.

Nanchang is indeed empty today so paras will land tomorrow. An armoured units will also make it there during the day.

Atimonan is a resistance point.
