Thanks for the medicine

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Thanks for the medicine

Post by michaelspotts »

I am an old vet, struggling along with some medical issues. I'm realizing that a game like this and another recently released title tigers on hunt, are really potent medicine for never ending pain and all the mental stuff that comes with it. Immersing myself in this deep gem, reading the manual, background books on time period, perusing the forums, is a great change the channel antidote to deal with medical realities for me. Coupled with the practice of my faith, it really beats any kind of pain med with no bad side effects. Thank you, Vic and Cameron, thank you.

Hi Michael,

Glad we could assist in some way.

If you can manage to take Moscow by Christmas I'm pretty sure the good health fairy will drop by.

Best Wishes,
Cameron

Michael,

It's like you took the thoughts from my mind, and words from
my mouth. I know how you feel.

Best of luck to you.

Michael,

In your reading, check our Robert M. Citino's Death of the Wehrmacht and The Wehrmacht Retreats. They cover the 1942 and 1943 campaigns respectively.

No problem, gald you enjoy it. The board game companies I'll be getting games off for review is growing, plus Pen and Sword publishers for books and Thomas Gunn for miniatures are great additions aswell.

Like Wodin said. For my part, I'm a rolling bibliography of military books. Let me know the period and scale and I'll point you in the right direction.
