Thunderstorms mask their approach and both MTB's find prey, fully loaded prey.

And both escape into the night, hurt but alive, with a chance, however slim of making it back to port.

During the morning, the MTB runs into the troop convoy again, at Sea, along with this escort.

Is it another invasion?

Or is it moving troops to western Honshu?

Captain Kawato will live to fight again, his MTB quickly broken down and sent back east to be repaired and hopefully will see combat again!

G352 is in a tougher spot...no fuel. Oita beat off an attack today, but can they tomorrow?

The decision is made to refuel at Oita and try from Hiroshima to disband at. Nope, last minute orders send it to the redoubt at Matsuyama after fueling at Oita.

It doesn't look good for the plucky little boat with the can do spirit.

I40 sets course for deep water, and the crew anxiously test their brand spanking new radar upgrades as they leave.

Perhaps it will help! Heck, it is a miracle to have made it this far...

Allies use beasts to bomb the troops at Pakhoi, and a few single engine bombers show up over Oita, but it really is a quiet day. Once again Tracker has 14 planes downed compared to 10.

As western Honshu falls...the victory point ratio climbs.

2.186 to 1. Almost a positive day yesterday for the Allies...

I'm constantly amazed with how effective your torpedo boats are against all odds.
To think of it, my usual practice with them was to gather the starting 7 and forget them in some backwater port. And them are beasts doing more damage to allied shipping now than the rest of Kaigun combined )

Oita stands up to another attack, but nearbye Tokayama falls. No troops here other than static units pretty much.

Everyone but one small splinter leaves Okayama today and makes Kobe. 4600 AV that can continue to fight rather than being cut off.

Allied troops have movement arrows going every direction...

The MTB manages to refuel at Oita and make Matsumaya and is disbanded back into the pools.

Allies use their single engines to bomb Oita, and it is fairly ineffective.

Over on the western China front Pakhoi is bombed by lots of Allied 4E beasties and the Chinese are showing signs of live up in the mountains.

Nothing magical, I make sure I have good captains and I swamp the area with night naval search which is what I think really helps if the encounter takes place after the air phase at night. I also greatly prefer no moonlight and was helped yesterday by thunderstorms too!

Almost on page two bump.

Allies taking a sabatical to wipe the blood off their wing-tips?

Keep up the good fight. It is probably as inspiring to the readers as much as it might be depressing to you to grind thru some turns.

No, it was me. On vacation trip, and then I installed some new hardware and had some problem getting the game up and running with it.

I will finish my turn this evening at the latest and back on schedule.

I need some, not this game alas.

Finished the turn, and it is grim, but at least I have escaped to eastern Honshu with almost all my troops. Certainly, all my troops I wanted to evac from western Honshu.

I am sending a ML into harms way tonight! Banzai.[:D]

The ML tangles with 10 PT boats off Oita, damages one PT and escapes back to Hiroshima.

A few night attacks, but no joy here.

9 Bombers get thru, veterans all, but they are no match for the heavy flak and all miss.

Oita holds, other bases fall.

5400 AV of troops back in Kobe. The ML is still alive.
