Our para unit at Pucheng, holding their position until armour arrives, were hit by many Imperial death gliders today. Recon of Shanghai is not yielding fruit at the moment, but the radar tracks from nearby bases bade it look as though the raids came from there. P-47D25 have moved into Taihoku and will sweep Shanghai. All B-25 groups in range (Takao and Naha) will strike the air complex at Shanghai. More rotating of attacking units at Hong Kong and still a strong attack tomorrow. The enemy hold outs should collapse increasingly quickly. The capture of Nanchang last turn gave us 79 Resources.

Reinforcements for the drive up Luzon are being unloaded at Legaspi.

The fleet carriers have been undergoing their Jan '45 air wing reorganizations and should be finished in a few more days.

We have an armoured unit rushing to Pucheng but it will not arrive until the day after tomorrow. The B-29 groups will hit the enemy troop positions at Pucheng tomorrow while P-51D groups sweep overhead, and lots of smaller strike aircraft too. Results from the attack at Hong Kong were a bit light, but tomorrow only two divisions will rest.

The ordered P-47 sweeps of Shanghai could not take off due to severe weather at Taihoku, so the Superfortresses went in alone.

None of our many ordered strikes arrived at Pucheng, but enemy strikes did, then superior enemy ground forces pushed out our paratroopers with losses. They are now in hex with the armour unit that was racing to bolster their defensive position and will recover there, sheltering among nearly 60 tanks. AA cover is also on the way but they are now in woods-rough terrain, plenty cover by itself. A similar task group is heading for a position NE of Pucheng to cut the primary road from that side.

More troop rotation at Hong Kong, where supplies for the base are still an issue but at least the combat units are fully supplied. Imperials holed up at Hong Kong now ~52,000 and their raw AV was cut by more than 1/3 today. Those are zombies near Kunming. The problem we are facing with the attack into Swatow is the garrison requirement, which is preventing all of our (very modest) forces from moving on in unison. As with other garrison requirements various Chinese Army units are being brought forward now that the mountain redoubt is open. We are also bringing in various small, non-front line but security capable units from the Indochina coast where they are no longer needed to protect air bases.

Capturing either Chengtu or Chungking will make many more Chinese Army units available but they sport ~41k and ~59k defenders respectively. Another ~29k are heading back down the road from Tsuyung and while we will try to block them that is uncertain.

Now we only see a submarine TF there. On Mindanao the USA 158th IR will arrive at Malaybalay the day after tomorrow to block retreat from Davao, so that will be the day of the next attack there. The NZ 15th Bde at Davao has been reinforced by the USA 31st IR and together they should be able to force the issue.
