Units covering areas

Post by Uxbridge »

Is there a way to go around the problem with units covering areas? Can I remove the units temporarily from view in order to see the area beneath them? How can I move a unit into a city if other units, friendly or enemy, are covering the city symbol physically? This is getting rather annoying.

there is a game option that means at the end of the turn all the separate stacks in a region appear in a single pile - this helps see the underlying terrain (you can still cycle between the stacks to give new orders|).

I wouldn't enter cities/fortresses unless I really needed to. The risk of being trapped is real and its very hard to break out of a siege due to the frontage etc rules

Oh, thank you. Yes, I have seen that, but never realized what it was good for. No, I'm not putting large armies in cities, only single brigades.
