Late to the party

I discovered SP:WaW very late in its life, somewhere between 8.3 and 8.4. As dedicated Linux user since 1994, getting Windows games to run on Wine in the early days was always too difficult. Thankfully the situation has improved a little.

I started streaming SP:WaW at twitch.tv/tomlowshang. My style is more Kelly's Heroes than Longest Day, so please don't expect the finest example of SP:WaW game play.

Welcome to the party. I recommend SPWAW Enhanced which puts together latest official SPWAW and some mods in one installation file. This heroic deed was done by Major Mess/iskaput. I ask you to upload to YouTube too with some commentary about the game. YouTube has plenty about early Steel Panthers games, but very little SPWAW.

I'm playing the SPWaW 2016 mod so I aware of the work the Enhanced team has done. I registered on the Enhanced forum about three weeks ago, received the confirmation message, but the actual activation seems to have been lost. I sent Alby a PM about it, which is the main reason I joined here.
