Trying to play siege of Budapest and its no go. Takes over 1 minute to move a tank one hex!

Machine running so slow game is unplayable.
Ran fine, much faster before the last update.

Ahhh dummy me!

Think I found my problem! You can't get good game speed using the old (original) desktop shortcut.

I reconfigured my desktop with the new short cuts provided with the upgrade and game speed is a whole lot better.

Thanks Big Ivan for posting that. I was doing the same thing. The game now is back to full speed!
