CTD on clean slate

I started out clicking on the editor to create a new base scenario file. Then I went into the Settings menu and clicked on the "NEW!" button to create a blank scenario to start from scratch. However, when I save the file and go back to open it the game gives me an error message and closes to desktop. Is that WAD? Or shouldn't the game have the ability to save and open blank scenario files so that a person can work on them. I could see the files crashing when trying to actually "play" them but when clicking on "edit" it seems like the game engine should be more tolerant. Just my thoughts. [:(]

Not sure. Are you able to save and reopen a "blank" scenario when you do what I describe above?
