Wow, that was fun [:D]

Poor CVEs, they just can't learn.

How is the VP ratio, just for curiosity?

Running without tracker for the last few days...but it is 2.26 to 1.

Bought a few days or a week with that little fight.[:)]

Finished the turn, they are getting easier...but I certainly could spend a lot more time on them, but with two games you know...I have discovered that two games is really too much for me, but there is 90 or fewer turns left in this one.

I got a lot of joy clicking the send button dispatching this turn to the hated Allies.[;)] Mostly, because it was out of the blue...the best thing I had going for me was a Lilly and Judy raid I thought.

Today, I setup a trap for some of the Deathstar's planes that are halfway betwixt Honshu and Manchuko. I hope he continues trying to blockade my dinky subchasers and flies right into a little air festung.

Not much else to report...getting ready in western China, but lack of supplies will really doom the defense. I have gotten one Battleship to Luzon and hopefully I can brave the subs and get her to my super secret repair facility for one last hurrah in 45 days - should I be alive then.

Tokyo burns. And burns. Almost all air strikes were on Tokyo. My CAP Trap doesn't work in the Yellow Sea.

I am ejected from the Lang Son area with a solid 3-1 attack.

Chinese are starting to attack.

Fuso is most of the way to meeting an AR and starting work on that system damage. Unfortunately, one of the 36cm turrets is damaged, but I might be able to get her in action once more before the end.

More likely she will just sit in some small port for the rest of the war.

Here is the Kongo, just sitting in Port with Naval Squads working on her. The port is small...otherwise the Allies would find her and sink her with B29s.

I am moving more and more naval squads to her.

Her repair estimate increases when set to pier side mode. I don't think I can risk having her sit in the port that way though.

Naval squads are less effective the more heavily damaged the ship is...but AR's aren't.

Interesting. But remember, it's just an estimate.

I don't remember the difference between Readiness and Pier Side, other than that you need to be at the pier if you want to take advantage of up to 5 major float/engine repair at level 7+ ports. I'm pretty sure that the crew repairs (based on XP/system damage level) occur in both modes, and the ARs I don't remember.

Perhaps the longer time includes replacing the AA gun.

A new month, but no new planes for Japan. Takes away a lot of the joy.

Remove the two xAK so they don't drain repair points

Since they are on readiness, they shouldn't drain any repair points? Also, the priority setting should make that fine.

Correct. The estimate for the repair of destroyed devices on board is not made until the ship has been at pierside repair for a turn. In this case, the red text means not all the damage can be repaired.

The resources available are fairly easy to remember:

In Readiness mode - only the crew works on repairs, steam is available at all times so the ship has no delay in being available.

In Stood-down mode, the boilers are off and the crew can work on the ship with some assistance from the port and naval support. I am not sure if tenders such as AGs and ASs work on their designated ship types in this mode.

In Pierside mode the port, naval support squads and any unassigned ARs (or other tenders appropriate to the ship) contribute their points to the repairs.

Shipyard points are only used on ships assigned to the shipyard.

Having fun discovering all the joys of Irfanview....it really is a nifty program. I am going to be looking for plugins for military style graphics to insert next and playing with the multiple screenshot camera next.

Anyhow here is a shot of bombers hitting Kobe, which has the largest AA concentration currently.

Stubborn defenders hold one more day in the jungle, but I fear this will allow the Allies to go into pursuit mode and make up the lost ground.

My turn is away, and sticking with my overall goal of hitting the Allies every day, I set up another air festung over Manchuko, an air strike out of Miri with Frances, Betty and Lilly - hoping to catch the Allies napping here, and a CAP trap over some ships just off Luzon.

Waiting to see where the Allied invasion lands: Formosa, China, or Luzon. In one of the islands off Luzon I have a CL and 2 destroyers that may try to make a run into the invasion beach if the target is Luzon.

Nice to have tracker back up and running...if I don't really use it for much anymore.
