Had to prioritize getting the turn to Jeff rather then updating.

But a quick update! Activity on the WC!

2 Japanese TFs spotted almost due west of Coal Harbor! Possibly moving SE towards Astoria and/or Victoria! A 10/10 DL on a picket sub SW of San Diego! [X(]

I enjoy watching KB's carrier elite getting shredded attacking inappropriate targets like industry and huge LBAirfields...

I´m 95% sure this is the real deal. Basically this is the only place on the map worth the staggering investments which the Japanese have poured into NORPAC/PH lately. I bet the target is LA and its 482 AC factories. In fact I am so sure this is real I already moved a big portion of the mobile reserve toward the area last turn when I got the 10/10 DL on the sub. 2 divisions and 2 tank BTLs are already at March field moving for San Diego. The rest of the reserve will follow today moving for Los Angeles.

3 armored division and the 3rd Marines will arrive in LA tomorrow. Forts are at 9 both in SD and LA. Nothing else is built up or will be defended. We will hole up in these two locations and then await the emergency reinforcements together with reinforcements from NORPAC. When they arrive we will counter attack and drive the Japanese back to the sea.

I am confident in the allied ability to defend the WC.

Beware of critical mass! I heard if you gather enough fighters in one place, they turn into a big furball.

Did most of the orders for the WC. But had to work 3 hours overtime today and won´t finish the turn today. Still have some stuff to decide on.

Off to bed.

I wonder if he will land a small force on one of the islands. He might want to use it for PA recon/Naval search. That would trigger the WC reinforcements at that point.

I agree with this being the main event, I am just suspicious of sneaky people who might use a massive main thrust to pull all the defences to one area and send a smaller invasion to Seattle area. Better have pickets up there in the Gulf of Alaska/Canadian Coast.

It goes without saying that flipping Los Angeles is a massive point swing..both in victory points and strategic damage points. It also goes without saying that Japan pretty much loses the game if it fails after a protracted campaign.

Santa Ana and Port Hueneme are more logical landing sites to achieve a port and an AF.

Most likely a landing on the Channel Islands for an air and naval base. When is this?

Also, it goes without saying that if you lose LA or San Diego, FDR is going to shorten your career.

Be wary about massing airpower on coastal hexes, plenty of bases available 1 hex inland.
