I have not started any PBEM games. When will the new H2H patch be ready? Thanks again for the great effort.

Well, I think I kept you waiting long enough now...to make it short:

H2H fr (final release) is ready for shipping !!!

I contacted Paul from the Blitz and will send the baby over to him as soon as I can...give Paul a bit time to sort things out and to put up the download page and then we're ready to go :)

Thanks PL! Did I read somewhere that you were thinking of including all of the monthly H2H scenarios (from the Dirty Dozen site) in the patch?

I took all H2H scenarios I could find and also a whole bunch of maps I used in PBEMs (these are ready-to-go maps) or downloaded on things like the map contest...

Scenarios are over 100 in the new version...

PL mentioned that the patch is very large (what with all the added graphics, maps & scenarios), so his sending it to The Blitz site (via modem), and then having them prepare it for download, is no small task. I'm anxious too...and my first sentence is what I keep repeating to myself! :D

Hi Guys !

I still got no solution from the Blitz where to upload the baby. I just need a FTP server that can take 70MB (I got high speed connection, so a matter of minutes)...if someone has one running and is willing to help out, I would put it onto the FTP and someone from the Blitz could download it...

just a thought to speed things up...

J,
Here's a few ideas:
  • use WinRAR to break it into email-able pieces.
  • use a file sharing program like WinMX
  • Use an instant messanger client like ICQ or AOL-IM (many have file-sharing ability)

Best I can come up with.

The 70MB is a .rar compressed file...to split it into 5MB packages would make 14 indivdual fragments

The whole thingy is actually 250MB :D

I really hope someone has an FTP running or The Blitz establishes one - that would ease up things a lot...

Got it now !

A very kind person donated a way to bring it over to the Blitz...maybe he wants to stay incognito, so I don't mention Jim's name :D :D :D

I'll upload once I'm home again later today...

BIG thanks, my friend !

No sweat...I read the other ideas I had suggested and realized they were all second-rate. If anyone's interested, I went to www.streamload.com and opened a basic download account ($4.95/month or $37.95/year). This gives you 1000mb of downloads a month, and 3gb of personal storage with no limits on file sizes.
