Too bad you weren't able to get your kid the vaccine....
Its not part of the common child vaccination program here in Sweden. Not unless you are part of the "risk group".
Not really sure why its not.
It is relatively new in the scheme of things. It was 2012 when is started being used widely in Europe.

My siblings and I all got chicken pox as young kids. That was fun. I think my sisters and I got it basically at the same time one spreading to the other; and than my brother got his later (he was the familial surprise, so to speak). I'm young, so this was back in the early 90's. We were never vaccinated against it as that was primarily considered our vaccination.

I am surprised Chickenpox vaccine is not routine in Sweden.
It is a 2 dose schedule in the US..12 months and 5 years.
There is even a Shingles vaccine (same virus) for seniors at age 60

Whatever happened to the version of vaccination George Carlin had when they were kids? ("We swam in raw sewage!" [:D])ORIGINAL: Cap Mandrake

I mean, I'm pretty sure kids still eat dirt and stick their grubby fingers in their mouths. I do both of those things and I'm allegedly an adult.

You should have seen me last year when we needed new pipes from the pump house to the house. Me and dirt became real close friends! [:D]ORIGINAL: Lokasenna

Well tell him to hurry up - the Hollywood producers already have the camera crews at the shoreline and it's costing them money!ORIGINAL: JocMeister

The best landing site in early 1943 at the "Santa Ana" hex would likely be the Balboa Peninsula as it would probably not come under fire from Battery 155 in Bosla Chica (South of Huntington Beach). Northern Newport Beach beaches and Huntington Beach would be observed from Battery 155 (two 155's on Panama mounts with protected magazines).
Beaches further South would have significant difficulties with the exits and favorable defensive positions.

and what about the battery in Ned Beatty's front yard?
Seems like that has to be Pacific Pallisades or perhaps Malibu...probably in the Los Angeles hex.

this site never ceases to amaze me. BTW, I read the full PDF [:D]Coastal defense batteries at San Pedro (Los Angeles) and south.

A few years ago I drove north across the Golden Gate bridge to Marin county to visit the park on the headlands. Lo and behold there were several sites there that once held coastal batteries - really big ones! At least 14", possibly 16". Fantastic elevated view of the ocean and any targets that might come their way! I'm sure there were batteries on the other side of the bridge, in The Presidio military camp area, but they didn't get the cliff view.
When I look at the SFO Harbour Defences in game it helps to have seen the site they were on.

I just dunno what advantage your opponent seeks to seize here - other than the slim possibility of an auto-victory. Surely he knows that every LCU that lands, the majority of his hefty transports, many of his airplanes & a significant portion of his naval combat power are gonna be destroyed?
The lack of Allied SigInt of this invasion says that the IJ LCU aren't prepped for their invasion or follow-on targets. If that's the case, the IJ invaders are gonna be extremely vulnerable (bulk disruption after landing) to immediate counter-attack.

NTM the well-tended 'controlled minefields', AA defenses & artillery observation towers. The Golden Gate was wired up pretty tight!ORIGINAL: BBfanboy
