WITP Download

Post by rroberson »

Had the game...forever...on disc.

Just purchased a new laptop sans the DVD drive...yay me.

Naturally the problem is I cannot install the game via the disc and I don't have access to my members only download anymore (since the great merger).

Is there any way to rip the game from the disc?

I have my serial number password etc. (as well as the original disk etc.)

thanks for your help

I guess I should add I'm not trying to pirate the game or anything like that...just want to rip the install files so I can use the game with the new laptop.

I would send an email to matrix/slitherin games with proof of purchase/cd key, etc explaining your situation. I know for current customers they will provide a new download link if the old one has expired and you need to re-dl.

There are a couple of ways to deal with this problem. If you have another computer with a working CD/DVD drive, just copy all the files to a memory stick. You can also go out and buy a USB DVD drive. I bought one on Amazon for my SO's Mac which didn't have one and I think it cost $12.

Somewhere in the Matrix control panel (the "mygames" tab?) there is a link to Matrix CS. You can re-download any Matrix title that you own as many times as you want; however, after the initial download link they give you has expired, you've got to submit a ticket to request your download be reactivated.

Find that button, submit a ticket asking to re-download the title, and Matrix will send you an email with a new download link. I've literally done this dozens of times, including with WITPAE!

My current computer's DVD drive died and it's not worth replacing, the computer is too old. But I submitted a ticket to re download all my Mtrix games and they set it up a D/L link. It worked great, no problems.
