How to Un-assign a Support Unit

I'm going through the Operational Boot Camp tutorial and I inadvertently attached a support unit. For the life of me I don't see where I can un-assign it. I've searched through the manual and the tutorial doc but don't see how to do that.

cannot undo until next ...then bring up the unit it is assigned to & you will notice an X next to the
SU..hit that & it will go back to the H.Q.

Thanks! Searched high and low for the answer. Great game, but man what a learning curve...
