CTD with 1.02

Post by 76mm »

Like the title says, I had a CTD about four turns into the Assault Budapest scenario under 1.02. I had deactivated all mods with JGSME before installing. I tried to attach the log file, your forum does not allow .log files to be uploaded (not helpful in a tech forum), so I changed it to a text. I guess I have to post another message to post any other files...

another log file. I'm on Win10 64 bit. I'll try to upload a save when I get around to it.

That is the error.log file. Quite appropriate in a bug report, and thanks for it. Unfortunately, it gives no answers.

This is the engine.log you uploaded. Also appropriate. But the engine.log you posted shows a normal program exit, not a crash. I suppose you re-entered the game after the crash? Each time you launch the game, it overwrites the previous engine.log. We would need to have the engine.log just after any crash. So unfortunately this file isn't very helpful here either.

I believe you mean "Assaulting Budapest"?

Were you playing against HAL? Was HAL the Egyptians?

Yes, I re-entered the game and played a few turns of another scenario after the crash; it didn't crash, but I only played a few turns.

In the crashed scenario (yes, assaulting budapest), I was playing against the AI, I was Israeli.

Thanks 76mm. There is a know bug for AI as an amphibious attacker leading to an endless loop. A crash at this situation has not been previously reported, but it might be for the same reason. If you should try the same scenario as Egyptian player, with the amphibious force, against AI Israel, it should work with out any issues.

At this stage my 0.02 would say that is the reason. We hope to have the amphibious AI fixed in an future UPDATE.

But please report if you see the issue yet when trying the other side.

Good to hear Budd! Hence why it is so difficult to catch this bug. It appears but not everytime...
