Modding / editor question

Post by cpdeyoung »

Given a hex owned by France, for example, how can I set it to "unoccupied territory". I would be in the editor at this point.

I hope there would be a "fill" tool I could use but what regime would I use?

Thanks in advance,

Chuck

Well a work around if not available in editor would be to make the hex a full water hex then return it to land. No one can own water.

I have set up a regime "uncommitted territory", at war with everyone. This seems to get close.

Chuck

PS : Please tell me any better way.

@TwoTribes

Thanks, I'll bet that would work for a simpler map than what I have.

Well, it looks like clicking with a regime draw pencil twice gets unoccupied territory back.

This is working fine.

Glad you figured it out on your own :) Otherwise had I been online, before then, I would gladly have answered.

Technically not true. Water can be owned, and a way to make it owned is to delete a landhex with owner, and then leave it like that...

Every single time I have ever deleted land owned by someone and turned it into water it went unowned when I returned it to land.

Hmm... wasn't always that way... In any case, the above statement that water can be owned is true, the method of making it being owned may differ, of course.
