Challange vs Hawk...1941 Gettysburg..a PBEM H2H scen by M4 Jess

has just about fallen to the invading hoards. We continue to rack up a score as they push us back, but the constant engagement is beginning to tell on my own trrops as well.

Enemy have been spotted as far south as the leading edge of the Devil's Den, but we are digging in and ready for them. Troops continue to enter the field as rummers of a Pizza and Keg party circulate behinds the lines.

Artillery is finally moving into position to harry the advancing enemy...

My Northern Froces continue to fight the last remaining Waiters and bus boys...in the City. The NorthWest of Romaburg is also starting to swing my way......only due to my reinforcements are pouring in.


We seem to have 3 seperate fights going on.

And now Little Round Pie.

The later 2 battles are in thier begining stages.........so stay tuned.......

I'm happy to hear that the northern advance is due to reinforcements. I was beginning to think you had instant troops -- just add ammo.

We are engaged across most of the long front with the lightest fighting so far at LRT. Additional troops are rushing to reinforce the very nervous platoons now engaging the enemy -- who seems to be everywhere in numbers.

Artillery, pulled by wagons, are moving forward slowly, but are debating whether to set up the guns or the kegs for the party.

The northern units are making last mnute shopping runs before leaving the town which is slowing their departure somewhat and in some cases drawing the ire of the opposition shopping parties who want to keep all the sale items for themselves.

In short, the enemy is advancing all along the front, and the only time my troops will move is when they pull back after recieving casualties. It makes it a bit difficult to set up a fighting withdrawl situation when the units refuse to move into better cover.

To all those who say the Itallians s**k, I"m almost ready to agree.

Ok back to the War.
My Froces have pretty much taken Romaburg....... We are meeting small resistance .
My Nothwest troops are mopping up the "Black Shirts" in front of Romaburg.

Culps hill is our next...goal... If Challenge didn't know it alreadyyyyyyyy:D

The Trostle House is still giving me some troubles......

It appears the battle for "Little Round Pie " has come a day early..... We are moving to the TOP!!!!!!

So they can find their way back down again, the Greeks begin the ascent of Big Round Bott.. I mean -- Top. Round Top. The terrain is rough -- rocks, boulders -- very difficult to pick your way through, and hopefully giving my troops effective cover. What is dirt is covered with trees. We're looking at hand to hand ranges here.

Alas, the town has fallen and the advance on Culp's Hill has more or less begun. So far it is only on the Eastern side (my right flank), but with the disintigration of the formations to the north, there is little resistance to his advancing troops.

Still... The battle is not yet over.
