Another sub sent to the bottom, in deep water even![:)]

Don't get me wrong, that AK is packed to the gills with supply...so it is performing a task other than bait.[:)]

All but two of the Lang Son/Nanning defenders retreat across the river before the Allies catch them.

The two small units remaining behind are destroyed in a 290-1 attack...no retreat so no pursuit.[;)]

Looking bleak, bleak I tell you![:D] Allied air power unchallenged...supplies running out if not already gone...bleak, bleak, and bleak.[;)]

Allied southern Army is 5000 AV...the Chinese are stocked with 700 AV corps...

Last turn I set an air festung at Maebaeshi, for no luck.

Today, I am sending two Sentai of Judies on a one hex naval strike out of Fusan with as many fighters escorting as I can. This is a mistake, as the target will be tough to hit...destroyers and a light cruiser but I need to punch back at the Allies to make sure he is diverting fighters to CAP.

I thought about sweeping instead, but I have a really no good sweepers left...sigh.[:(]

Turn is done and away, now back to the very click intensive turn that is my other game.

Your forces are getting ground down, but the spirit of resistance is great to see! You have pulled a number of surprises on him and we look forward to see what else you can pull out of the hat!
Keep up the fight! [:)]

Lost a MTB to a bombardment TF during the night...didn't even launch a torpedo.

The Judys' fly...right into an Allied Armada.

I knew it was a mistake...[X(]

Deliberate attack at Matsumaya after horrendous bombardments and bombing...but we hold!

It is all about buying another day here, another day there...

Can't even coordinate a 1 hex raid with good DL across two Judy sentai's.

Not one bomber made a run...and all are, or were, good pilots with HQa present from large air base at same altitude.

I am just impotent.[:(]

So sad to be this way...but not much to do about it.

75 days or less left in this game...I did a very fast turnaround today, set up a LRCAP over Matsumaya which has had very little in the way of sweepers but has seen heavy aerial bombing. With my luck, the Allies will rest their planes after yesterday's all out bombing there.

I am hoping to catch him somewhat off guard there after losing so many nice fighters this day...I am hoping that he thinks I can't mount a defense there.

Successfully got three more Super E's away from Yokohama and on their way to Luzon/Mindanao. Hope to use them to sink submarines...every little bit helps you know.

The Allied British/Commonwealth/American juggernaut is crossing the river in western China (east of Nanning)...it will be ugly for me I suspect since I am in clear terrain....two weeks or less and Canton will be under direct attack and I don't see how I can stop him.

Yesterdays tough Judy strike, set up today's air ambush over Matsumaya...I have noticed during this game that Allied fighters really seem to have an advantage in this kind of fight. For whatever reasons, the Allied fighters have much better lasting ability (radar?) and really stick around and fight for much longer.

My LRCAP is really only present for the first bombing wave, and they do well...but I just wish they would stick around longer.

My air ambush is offset by B29's finding a secret naval strike base and nailing my planes on the ground. Sigh.[:-] I probably forgot to check if he had spotted them...

Japan is subject to a half dozen or more naval bombardments, heavy aerial bombing, but for the first time in months and months there is no ground combat at all.

I am just trying to run out the clock and make it to Jan 1 1945...no other grand plans.

Nothing to really look forward to. No big reinforcements, some neat little units. I still have some vehicle factories left, but they seem to end up making tractors rather than tanks even though I have set stockpiles appropriately and turned off all reinforcements for every unit except armored. I will fiddle with it some more tomorrow.

I am a punching bag![:D]

Will those ships under repair in you secret shipyard be repaired enough for a "last hurrah"?

EDIT: Ooops! I mean "last Banzai!"?

Lowpe, this AAR is really informative and I need to go back through the whole thing for my own benefit. Thank you.

Allies unleash the fury, bombardments, naval and aerial presage several ground attacks...the Japanese fold like an umbrella in the open terrain...too many tanks and planes.

Kongo keeps getting sniffed out...needs more time.

Look at all the devices repaired with nothing but naval squads and an AR. Impressive.[:)]

I should be more specific...naval devices don't get repaired they get replaced. Alfred would chastise me for my sloppy language.[:D]
