[MATRIX ADMIN] upload size limit

Post by gwgardner »

The 200k upload size limit is a hassle when trying to put together explanatory illustrations of bugs or problems. Please consider upping that limit substantially.

Just a suggestion until the limit is raised [don't wait!]. When you 'save as' the jpg you can reduce the size to easily under 200kb, and you can also reduce the image size in the drop down menu [with Paint.net]. We really don't need 100% resolution or full screen images to see what you are capturing. [;)]

Use a free program called Greenshot. It's awesome.

Not sure I understand what this thread is about.

What some games do that I rather like is that they allow you to minimize the screen, which allows you to take screenshots as often as you like.

Much simpler and more effective than worrying about how to make the game compatible with image software. And it probably encounters fewer glitches with Steam overlay when the Steam version eventually comes out.

That's weird, the pic you just posted is 980 kB (when I download it) but I can only upload files to the forum that are 200 kB or less...
I think that is what OP means.

But now I see you didn't "attach it" to the post, not sure if there is some other option or if you used imgur.com or something like it.

I thought we weren't allowed to upload pics to such sites because of non-disclosure agreement but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't think that's allowed.

4. STANDARD OF CARE

The Receiving Party agrees that it shall protect the Confidential Information of the Disclosing Party by storing and handling the Confidential Information in a secure manner, to prevent unauthorized disclosure.

part of the NDA quoted, so posting to an external site with open or un pass worded free access would break this, but to confirm and by 100% sure like anything else, forum admin or group leader need's to be asked so if your not sure pm Benedict151 or Tamas for questions and approval on any or on this subject in beta questions / subject regarding the NDA

if any picture can be got without being on the beta, eg searched for, then it's in the open, where as all beta work regarding out replies need to be behind closed doors unless approved in advanced.

edited, mind you saying all of this, i still find my beta pictures posted on line that i hosted here behind closed doors as well if you search hard enough, and i don't post online only here on the forum

file.php and subject to copyright on the image but still in an open search
