possible suggestions for the map

Post by ncc1701e »

The map is really great. Congratulations.

Instead of mixing it with my first impression, I would like to open a separate thread for the map if others have some similar suggestions.

If possible, I wish to see the location of few battles:
. Gembloux in Belgium written in yellow characters
. Arras in France written in yellow characters
. Bir Hakeim in Lybia in yellow characters

I would like the Mius river to be added on the map. It was an important defense line for the Germans in 1943 and a brilliant diversion done by the Russians.

At last, if this is possible, I wish that the main river names are written on the map in light blue characters.

But, again, great map!

I agree, if it can be made in a nice way I would also like to see river names.

Other locations that possibly deserves yellow names:
Halbe/Halbe Forest
Crimea
Courland Peninsula
Oranienbaum

Yellow name:
Ruhr/Ruhr Valley (also should be more hills and forests around this area imo)

Small additional things:
. Falaise south of Caen in France could be written in yellow characters
. On one hand you have written "Massif Central", on the other hand, you have written "Vercors Massif". I would be consistent by writting "Massif du Vercors".

Thanks, the exact ones that will be added will depend on how they look, their need, and also on available time.

So if some don't appear soon, it doesn't mean that I won't add them at a later date.

The same applies to other things too, lots to do and my notes document is filling up nicely with things to consider! [:D]

Thanks a lot. May be the following addition:
. Bzura in Poland written in yellow characters (it is a river but was also the only Polish counter-offensive)
. Seelow in Germany written in yellow characters (Götterdämmerung anyone?)
