France, Setup.

Pat's aggressive Italian setup opposite France has definitely gotten my attention. Maybe his setup is a feint but it screams close to the Med to me.

About the air-to-air bug. I have just encountered it in my testing, and as far as I could see, it affected one side only. My suggestion is that after you get a die roll, change it to produce the result that should have happened. If you are lucky enough to get an AX, changed to a DX, stick with the DX, but let the attacker pick the result.

I am sure the bug will be fixed quickly.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Two potential mistakes in France deployment.

Bearn in range of the Gabbiano, can easily suffer a surprise port strike unless planned to be placed at sea in Impulse 1. (And Italy is poised to strike at France).
That Lend Lease from USA is bad. Litterally downgraded the France airforce - when in '39 the USA hardly need to produce fighters which won't be up to date when they get to be into the war (long in short the USA won't touch that 3 strong FTR anytime soon, so they have no reason to LL it out to weaken another nation force pool).

Maybe we should revert back to 2.2.5 until the next patch? I'm not confident that I could manually adjust the roll to get the correct result.

I have no problem going back to 2.2.5. Does anyone know if there are issues with taking a saved game back in versions?

Here is the S. China situation. Note, while editing and working on posting this I saw that I had forgotten to put CPs in the China Sea, resulting in much of S. China being out of supply. I know what my first naval move of the game will be for the Japanese :-(

There was some news of Polish border guard intrusions into Germany in the US press (one chit) and the very appropriate German response. For those interested in perusing the map, I've attached a game file at the end of the German setup.

I can do that. So, I'll make the mod to the game file and we'll both roll back to 2.2.5 and wait until the next update. The only thing we'll need to keep an eye on is the game file size to ensure that we haven't encountered that bug. But that's no biggie either if we keep an eye out for it.

Game does not allow you to open save file with earlier version, so it is not possible.

Edit: is it possible if you edit save file?

I did the Polish setup with 2.2.5 and probably have switched a half a dozen times in my solo game between 2.2.5 and 2.2.6. It's easy to revert a game save back to an earlier version by editing the file.

You'd have to set die rolls under the interface and then whatever roll you got replace it when appropriate with a value 1 higher. My problem is that I wouldn't know when to add 1 or not and therefore we decided to revert back to MWiF version 2.2.5.
