Hello! New To War In the West (Bulge to the Rhine)

Post by astjohn76 »

After recently playing War in the East I feel that I have a basic command of the game mechanics even though there are some changes in War in the West. I plan on playing as the German and even though I know the basic mechanics regarding the air planning phase I am not sure what is the right strategy to produce the best results (locations, heights, and how many planes etc.)

I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on how best to use my air force in the Bulge to the Rhine campaign as the Germans.

Thank You

in that scenario, there is little you can do.

what I would do is to locate your fighters at bases to cover the main likely areas of allied concentration. Don't set any air directives, and they will fly interception missions - don't think you can do much more than this.

If you have any bombers, hide them away till you see a situation where using them in a one-off mission might pay rewards. Don't just let them fly or they will be shot out of the skies for no gain.
