The IJN in an attempt to repeat the feat from two turns ago of turn back the allied invasion fleet elects to try to initiate combat. However, it's the USN that find and surprise the IJN. However, the USN no wanting a repeat of two turns ago elect to use the surprise points to avoid combat.

Didn't even make it to the target. Last bomber had to turn around when all its fighter escort was forced to abort.
