Quick Question

Post by Veer »

What are the auto victory conditions for the IJN - Noumea, Luganville, Townsville, Brisbane after Jan 1 1943?

Is their any way toplay with Autovictory off in Scen 17?

Specifically supply levels = 2x required supply at one of the key bases and no, you can't turn it off.

It is a lot tougher to pull off then it sounds unless you are going for one of the bases that is a supply hub as you will capture it with tons of supply.

I generally go for Noumea then run the troops south to decrease the supply required to within the required win level. The obvious advantage of Noumea is quite clear. Even if you do not kick off the auto victory, you prevent any ships being sent back to Pearl and prevent any new ships entering to help the poor Allied player.

Reality, if you loose Noumea, you deserve to loose :D

I do not really support Luganville as being in the list of bases that grant auto-victory. Yes, it was important but no, it would not have completely crippled the Allied war efforts such as Townsville, Brisbase, Noumea ... It's a little island, who cares if you loose it, you can take it back ...
