Didn't read anything.

Impulse #9 (Allied)

No strategic bombing. No ground strikes.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics rail move the 3rd Rifle division from Cernauti to Leningrad. General Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell, transfers his command from Algeria to southern Spain.

CW move one corps from Tangier to Gibraltar, a garrison from Bayonne into Spain, and Gort moves from Santander to Bilbao. The Nationalists makes minor adjustments of their defensive lines in China.

Now over to The Honourable Warspite for an update on the latest Soviet moves.

Little to report from China and environs.

The Soviets send their AT divisions on manoeuvres in Bessarabia and that is about it.

No re-bases or air reorganisations.

I've ordered the automated die rolls for the end of turn phase but nothing is happening. Anyone got any e-mails?

Right I am going to try a TEST. This is not the roll (as there may be another roll out in the ether!).

Right, the test came through - marked TESTTESTTEST (and damn it was a 1) - so maybe I pressed something by mistake the first time.

Right for the avoidance of doubt I am going to send through the actual throw now - it will be marked End of Turn (Actual). If the original throw does turn up (it will be marked simply End of Turn) then this can be ignored.

Oh FFS. The original has now come through and before I sent End of Turn (actual). I therefore think in fairness this should stand as the actual throw. Even though its a 6 [:@][:D]

I also received 6 and test, no other rolls.

And I received save file also.

Yes, the third roll (actual) was not sent because the first e-mail eventually came in - although it took longer than the second (TESTTESTTEST). Therefore the 6 stands and the turn continues [:@]

Clear?

Have this game, but dropped it from the hard drive some time ago due to
a) issue with the code/game
b) I really didn't understand it was basically a head to head or solitare game ....

Just how does a pbem approach work with this ?

Hi scout1,

Game is working quite well now, that is my opinion.

This game is a multi player game, you can play it alone, but it is quite hard to surprise yourself [;)]

Pbem works well. You can ask responses using email, skype or AAR like we do. 4 player game pbem is slower than two player game. 2 player pbem with AAR is quite fast, but not as fast as using skype (never tried myself).

So are you trading game files via email ?
I did try solitaire some time ago and only then realized how highly interactive the turn was for "both" players.

Is there a description / discussion on the forum as to the method for pbem ? Is a little confusing as to how this is actually done .....
Any insight would be appreciated .......

Hi scout1

So what are you after in particular?

If you look at this AAR for example you can see how we interact on decisions. As said before there is no Skype here - communication is all done here (or the Axis / Allied threads).

Yes the saved game is sent to each other via e-mail at the end of, or during, the turn as appropriate. One side will generally do the end of turn go - with the other side providing details for return to base, production, reinforcement etc.

If there is anything more specific you need please ask.
