v1.00.07.01 Hotfix DOWNLOAD

Post by Hubert Cater »

I've put together a hotfix EXE that includes the following changes/fixes:

v1.00.07.01 BETA

GAME EXE
- fixed a set of HQ supply distribution and calculation errors.
- fixed an AI naval unit upgrade bug that had naval units upgrading next to ports and not when they were in ports.
- fixed an AI unit opportunity movement error that did not have AI units advance to reachable OFFENSIVE target positions when their strength was <= 5.
- fixed a naval unit movement error when using dynamic movement and when not deselecting the unit between moves.
- removed the mouse map edge scroll delay.
- default scroll steps before text hides is now set to 20 from 0 when the SC3.ini file is created for the first time after installation.
- maximum scroll steps before text hides is now set to 50 from 20.

Here is the download link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2xsbzdf07s476 ... E.rar?dl=0

After you download, please decompress the file and then copy/paste this file overtop of your existing game EXE file in the Strategic Command installation folder.

The default Strategic Command installation folder location should look something like this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command - WWII War in Europe

If installed correctly, once you launch the game it should show v1.00.07.01 in the bottom right hand corner of the MAIN MENU screen.

This hotfix will be compatible with any v1.00.07 games in progress.

The lag is totally resolved now with the setting at 50 for me as well. Outstanding response and thank you!

Naval Units in 1.06 - I could move from port to say 10 hexes out to a target, attack, then move 10 hexes back to safe port. With 1.07 I'm noticing that sometimes after attacking the naval unit loses movement points and then can't make it 'home'. This may happen especially if the attacking unit takes losses, but not exclusively. For example, I moved an Italian BB from port 6 hexes to a target, attacked and took losses, then had only 1 MP left, so he couldn't make it home. If this is intended, I think it is a really nice addition. [In this case I am happy to report that the UK fleet attacked the heck out of that poor Italian BB but he survived at a '1' and made it home after all].

It's probably Zone of Control impeding movement. If there are hatched hexes when moving then that's what it will be.

Currently all surface vessels apart from both types of Carrier and all types of Transport exert Zone of Control.

Depending on how we get on with it, it can be changed to requiring 2 naval units to exert ZoC, or we can go back to none exerting it.

I'm pretty sure it's not the ZOC. I'll see if I can set one up, but I fear it is random and not repeatable.

Ok, I've got one set up, it is random, but it is repeatable. In the screen shot I've got two cruisers, move them to attack either UK unit and each time after the attack the cruisers' MP's will be reduced by different amounts. I've run it several times. I've got a save file if you want it.

You are right, I'm experiencing this now where my naval units are losing between 3-5 APs every time they launch an attack.

I think that immediately after the combat, the ship is losing again the APs it had already expended in moving to attack the target.

So if I attack without moving, no APs are lost.

Whereas if I say move 6 hexes before attacking, the ship loses 6 APs both before and after the attack.
