National Morale Ribbons

Post by Skeleton »

Is there any chance of moving the NM Ribbons that were added at the top of the screen elsewhere? It appears too busy and cluttered and hides the Purchase and Research ribbons in my opinion.

Hi

If you go to Options in the top right, then Advanced, in the top right is a button called National Morale Bars.

Untick that and it'll turn them off.

This is what I get on 1280x1024. I have to click in the green area in order to open any of the categories. If I click in the red area, nothing happen. However, with the Moral Ribbons turned Off, I can click in the red or green area to open the categories. So, what I'm saying is, with the ribbons displayed, the bottom half of the buttons don't work.

Ok, I closed the game when I had the moral ribbons turned on, and when I reopened the game, the buttons worked fine. However, when I turned the ribbons back off, then the buttons did not work, unless I moused over below them [green circle]. Notice how the Diplomacy button is highlighted because I was moving the mouse over the green circled area.

That is the thing; I enjoy having the national morale easily accessible and like the feature. I just don't like it where it is currently located when turned on.

Thanks for the report and I've fixed this mouse issue for when you toggle the national morale bars on and off... as for the location, I'm not too crazy about it either, just not sure where else they could go and still look appropriate in game.

What if they went along the left hand side? Quick and dirty paint job here:

how do I upload a file?

It's right under where you type in the response. Click on 'Embed picture in post' then 'Click here to upload!'

You have to use the Post Reply rather than Fast Reply option, otherwise there is no option to directly add the image.

It's real easy to reduce their size with a free program called Paint.Net. For a little more fancy stuff you can get PhotoScape [also free].

1. Open pic in Paint.net.
2. Save pic as jpg. When saving as jpg you get a pop up that allows you to reduce the size.
3. Optionally or additionally, in the 'Image' drop down menu, click on 'Resize' and make your image smaller. This comes in real handy, especially when you don't need the pic to be gihugic.

Nice, that is exactly what/where I was thinking they would be less obstructive. I much prefer having them on the left side of the screen.

Actually, if they switch them to the left side they should incorporate them in a way so they gel with the info-graphics that are just above them. Then the bars could be thicker and easier to discern as well.
