Turn 34. Mar/Apr 1945. Axis #7. Japan. Hanoi, Canton & Hong Kong.

Post movement, no land combat. The IJA takes strong, last stand defensive positions in the cities of Hanoi, Canton and Hong Kong. All positions currently held by the IJA in Southern China and north Indo-China will be held to the last man, however, the forces holding these last key three positions in this region are in supply and are expected to hold out indefinitely. The IJA forces in Nanning and Changsha are expect to hold as long as possible with the main objective of inflicting maximum casualties on the Nationalist Chinese.

Post movement, no land combat. The IJA facing the ChiComm are not expect to hold but are expected to inflict maximum casualties on the ChiComms. Japanese commanders in command of the Manchurian and Korean militias are working to instill the same discipline and duty to the emperor as the regular IJA.

Turn 34. Mar/Apr 1945. Axis #7. German U-boats.

Germany has 6 organized u-boat units sitting in Keil. Grossadmiral Karl Donitz, commander of Germany's u-boat fleet, convinces Hitler than his u-boats represent one of German's final weapons that can still hurt the allies. Also, Japanese military attaches stationed in Berlin have been lobbying Donitz for some time to send Germany's remaining u-boats out to inflict maximum damage on allied convoys to assist Japan's war effort. The sortie of Germany's remaining u-boats sends shock waves through White Hall and the Pentagon. CW and USA military experts were convinced that the axis submarine threat was nearly non-existence and may now reap the results of these incorrect assessments.

Cape Verde Basin.

In the Cape Verde Basin a lone German u-boat unit attempts to find and sink unprotected allied convoys. Fortunately for the allies there the u-boat unit fails to find them. White Hall and the Pentagon breathe a sigh of relief, but there's three more sea zones to go. At least the remaining three have some ASW present, though all may not have it present in the 0-box where the convoys are operating.
