Turn 35. May/June 1945. Allied #6. Western Allies, Germany. Land Combat 5.
The dreaded 14 (modified) on the assault CRT. It took rolling a 3 (unmodified). On the positive side, the allies have the units to lose, the Germans don't and the allies did NOT use the benefits of their engineer in combat. In which case the engineer would have had to been the first unit lost. But, if they had, then the rolled would have been a 15 (I believe). All this hurts my head. [8D]

Lot of good flying the La-5FN did in ground support! No matter, the Soviets rolled a 20.

RE: Global War AAR in Pictures
Turn 35. May/June 1945. Axis #7. Germany. Land Combat. "The Liberation of Keil."
Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels is shown awarding the Iron Cross 1st class to 16-year old Hitler Youth, Willi Hubner for his part in the liberation of Keil from the Royal Marine Engineering division. Goebbles makes his case in front of the newsreel cameras that Germany is far from dead and will eventually prevail. What he fails to mention, and what is obvious to any sane viewer, is that the two units that retook Kiel from the British is made up of old men and young boys. Hardly the caliber of soldier that stood on the doorstep of Stalingrad or Moscow a mere two years earlier.
