And as said, to provide an alternative for Boardgame view, there's the option for counters with Unit Profiles. There's an Alternate Counter design as well, which can be used separately of choosing between NATO symbols and Unit Profiles. With CS: Vietnam in the works, we've got planned some cool new things with Unit Profiles, but since it is still in a wish list stage I'll post about it once it becomes (and if it becomes) available.

All in all, funny thing within CS Legion team we're a pretty individual lot, so all these options have their fans who rarely play with other options. So I guess it pays to have options then [:)]

With CS: Vietnam, there's a plan to have two alternate 2D map types as well, one even more in sync with classic boardgame design, and one with a 3Dish terrain, as in with many contemporary board games.

It depends on the game. I enjoy games with counters more but I still collect miniatures as well.

That sounds outstanding Crossroads.

The CS series is always one where I've been on the fence about 2D vs 3D and appreciate the team's efforts to provide so many options.

I am not a fan of the Middle-East but will most definitely purchase Vietnam (and eventually NATO vs WP) due to that flexibility when it is released.

Good Luck with the progress on those titles.

Thanks DC! There's the new WW II titles in the work queue somewhere there too. Really looking towards those myself as well, with the new zoom levels and all

I think that the Nato design could be improved on. In WW2 there were a lot of assault guns and turretless tanks. Unit of those shouldn't have to use the Nato tanks symbol but some kind of unique alteration of it.
