I would also like more freedom in the area of research, but I guess it's pretty easy to edit in the editor.

What do you mean by more freedom?
I mean to be able to put more than 2 research points in something.

There might be specific fields where we could increase the number of chits, but to do it across the board runs the risk of changing game balance.

The reason being that more chits means faster research, and because only the Axis are really in a position to undertake much research early on it could lead to them starting Barbarossa with Tigers and Jets, and the Allied player just throwing in the towel.

With that in mind I set them all at 2 for consistency and simplicity's sake.

game seems top play a little more smoothly
but on easy level, still havent taken Poland in October..
i still think you need to change the amount of time that passes in the game per turn
