North end situation

Two interesting things. First when the BMP RGT made its assault on the middle, it left behind a Mech Coy and a Tank Coy. Just find that odd. Second the 3rd BTN, 28th GTD was marshaling for another push up teh middle. This could have been a problem

lastly down South. Whoa Nelly!!!!!!!!! The independent tank BTN with 54 T-80 is trailing the last BTR-80 RGT. That could have been VERY bad.

I really hope some scenario designers would chime in on what they think of this scenario. My results say that it might need to be re-balanced a bit towards the Sovs. Still I designed the scenario: ergo, I pretty much knew what was coming and from where. It was touch and go there for a while. If the 243rd MRR had push more force towards the river crossing it would have been a problem. Perhaps adjusting the VP hexes to eliminate the most northerly hex on the A7 would push the 243rd towards the river?
ALso, perhaps shifting the 68th MRR (BMP) south and teh 244th MRR (BTR-80) north might make for a better AI. THe BTR-s just walked into a death trap with seven PTN of M1A1 dug in firing on them as the crossed the barrier

I think it is about right for what I was trying to design. I think the air and helo reinforcements need to be both pared down a bit and delayed. I also am toying with the idea of putting more of the artillery on map for both sides. Would delay the Soviet DAG a bit but not too long. This scenario by design takes a good hour for the action to really heat up. If the DAG appeared at say H+120 that would not be too bad. I may extend the Army level artillery's time on map if I do that. The reason I didn't do that is because the east edge of the map is cluttered as it is with the MRD coming on in waves.

Lastly the RAG for whatever reason were being pushed to the front by the AI. Is there a way to stop this.

Looks like an interesting scenario. I enjoyed your write up. Once I get better at this game, I will give it a try!

Well done,

Mike
