Move this beast to STEAM

Post by Texican »

Current game requires patching that never seemed to work (for me) in automated fashion, and on Windows 10, it requires special tweaking of the exe. app. to run the game correctly.

Please move this game to Steam, so updates are automatic and have the game run smoothly on all major Microsoft O.S.'s.

Downloads and updates work just fine the way they are. It's easy. Steam is another way to purchase games that allows auto updates. Not needed. Also AE doesn't get the volume of updates as many other games because the players provide a lot of material and some players (michaelm) produces fixes when we need them. My two cents....GP

None of the beta patches brought out by michaelm would be automatically applied by Steam.  Which means the last patch on Steam would still be from early 2015.

Works fine as it is for me as it is but I do have major problems with stem. You can stick STEAM where the monkey stuck his nuts.

works fine for me if one follows the instructions.

But yes it needs to be tweaked via command line to take advantafe of the better graphics, however I doubt Steam will solve this problem.

There no need, you can get that auto updater from game menu. If you want to you use the beta patch from this official site above, besure to read it carefully before doing any patching after vanilla patch.

it's never as simple as it seems with steam, it's not just about loading it onto steam, it's about getting it to work with all steam services as well, sounds simple, but if everything in life was as easy as it sounded, it maybe would have been done a long while ago, that's not to say it will or won't, just my opinion on reasons why and if's etc
