Ship select screen - sub aircraft display bug

Pretty self-explanatory... the Type B1/B2 loses its float plane capability with the May 1944 upgrade (oops! Shouldn't have upgraded). I had previously had all of these subs operating with 1 float plane + 1 in reserve, and all air units for them are now at the base they are at (removed by the upgrade).

However, I'm thinking while making the TF that I've got FP boats available, and selecting them. Then I get to the TF screen and notice they don't actually have any. Something fishy going on with this screen here.

When I upgraded a Leander class CL and the ship lost its aircraft in the upgrade, it did not go to the pools - it still exists as a cruiser FP with the same squadron fragment designation it had when it was on the ship. The assignment is, however, now "independent".
Could it be that your sub aircraft squadrons still exist on land but the change to "independent" assignment never occurred?

The squadrons are on land, yes, as mentioned. With the same squadron designations as before. They would not, and did not, go to the pools.

The issue is that the ship select screen is saying those subs have 2 aircraft on them when they clearly don't.

Well I am saying the number might not indicate the aircraft actually aboard, but the number of aircraft assigned to the ship (even if that was not the designer's intention).
