Paradox sale is going strong starting today. I think I'll finally buy all those expansions for EUIV. They are a greedy bunch though . . .

While they do pump out a ton of DLC for their games, it has to be said that they do add interesting new functions to the games. Also, even if you only own vanilla EU4, it has easily had two or three expansions worth of content added for free since release. And then the dozens of cosmetic DLC like unique unit models and music are completely optional.

I decided to pick up a few Crusader Kings II expansions, plus the newest one. The ones that let you start at a much earlier date have had my eye for awhile. And I heard that the game has had some massive performance improvements and no longer slows to a crawl after a few hundred years. I really want to try to rise up and become the Byzantine Emperor and then restore the full Roman Empire.
