Small ship, big war ..... best AAR ever

Post by bradfordkay »

... for the old guard of the greatest AAR ever written on these forums: Cuttlefish's classic Small Ship, Big War. For the newcomers who never got to read it, this should be a treat - though it will take some time.

This is in the original WITP forum, not the AE. I just decided that I wanted to read it again and thought that others may want to as well.

With no disrespect to all the other wonderful AARs written since, Cuttlefish's is THE best ever. Thanks for bringing it back to so new guys will get a chance to read it.

I'll take a look at that AAR when I get a chance, but please amend your thread title (if it is possible) to say exactly what it is about so it can be searched.

I didn't read much AAR's but i agree that one was great. He could even have written a book from it.

My Sons have always made fun of my fascination/enjoyment with playing what they call "The Dot Game". I read a little of Small Ship, Big War to them, they enjoyed it so much that they continued reading the whole thread and thought it should be published as book.

I've been compulsively reading this for the last few days, thinks for bringing it up. The smuggling ring is a nice touch.

while I agree this AAR is very unique I wouldn't necessarily call it the best

my personal best would be 2 AARs written by AndyMac and PzB from their duel

The Hibiki AAR was truly magnificent. What a great piece of work with excellent writing, great scenes, and delightful characters.

First thing I did when I logged in was look for an update on that AAR! How many of remember doing that??!!
