RE: 1945 April 08
Air losses. We made no sweeps today. The Imperial sweeps over our armour in northern China were largely stymied, the tally being about 17 of theirs for 15 of ours. Pretty good for defense against Franks.

The B-29 groups did not fly against Fukuoka because of weather. As you can see by further recon, Heavy Industry there was dealt a severe blow.

RE: 1945 April 09
As required by law, the B-29 groups hit Tokyo before the fighter sweeps. Well, not all of them. And the B-24 groups had escorts. Losses were had, but so were many hits. Damage shown by recon is light, but Fires are still over 40,000 (peaked over 155,000!) so I look forward to lots of damage in the coming days. Despite the losses and very tired sweepers (the bombers and escorts are mostly not highly fatigued), they go again tomorrow with only Partial Cloud coverage predicted. In addition, the daytime B-29 groups will drop down to 10,000 ft. The Empire is doing such a good job evading our fighter sweeps that many P-51D squadrons are changing roles to escort the B-29 groups.

RE: 1945 April 10
Air losses. Another day of holding the line against Imperial fighter sweeps near Chengting, but a total change over Tokyo. The bombers survivability skyrocketed as P-51D absorbed the punishment for them. Our night B-29 groups did not fly and will remain with orders, but the day bombers and fighters will all stand down.
