New Beta

Post by AZKGungHo »

I've just got the new build and I LOVE the developing interface and how you can assign certain countries to the AI.

Right now I'm testing out the 1940 campaign as the Allies with Russia assigned to the AI. I noticed a glitch or bug. I played a turn. Saved, quit and just got back to play a few more on my lunch time. The AI wasn't doing anything with Russia so I went in and assigned Russia to the AI again. Then the AI took over.

I'm guessing that's not what you want us to have to do, so thought I'd mention it. Otherwise this excellent game is just getting better!

I tried a turn with German AI as my Ally. I was still prompted to make Decsions for Germany on turn 1. Not sure if that is intended.

But also wow cool unexpected feature!!!!

Yes, you still make decisions and when new units are created you have to place them on the map in Russia. Pretty sure this isn't what is wanted. I'm guessing in later builds the AI will handle this?

Thanks and these should now be fixed on my end, with the exception of the very first issue... I've resolved it but I can't implement a quick fix for it as it will break saved game compatibility which we need for now for now internally on our end.

I've also noticed you can move the AI controlled units it you want too, at least right now. I actually took one the AI had advanced in late 41 and moved it into Konigsberg! Raised Russian morale, until German air units wiped it out next turn. I know, pretty silly but hey it was fun!!
