Thanks Korvar,

I forgot that you can turn off the hexsides[:'(]. Ive had the game for just only a week. It does look better.

Here are 2 pics without hexsides, if someone would post them it would be appreciated. There is a difference in the overall shine without the hexes.

Finally got only one set of labels to show on map, looks alot better.

"it looks like you're going for the difference in altitude/elevation(and texture) there...
how about turning the mapmod to greyscale/bw and multiplying it on top of the vanilla map -
maybe this makes the colors look more 'right'...? "

Made it look too dark, so I tried something similar.

Pic is 75% size.

"but for your efforts so far - just tell me which tileset(w/o roads'n'rails and w/o labels) you need to do your magic? "

Iam not sure. Iam doing more than I understand.. I could not open the "1-7_layered.zip" file with gimp, but i could open the "layers.zip" files.

I took the "1_TheBase.tif" gridded it into to the individual maps. Then I used the multiple command at 75% transparency. I've gotten the entire tactical map done.

btw, sure, you're new to the game but maybe contacting mr. andrew brown (maker of the vanilla stock map) for a non-labled map would be a great 'something' - at least a huge timesaver!!!

Good idea!!!

Thankyou, your great map mage it possible

I believe 5 days before I can upload stuff.

The file "6_TheFrame.tif " has different off map ports than the AE map, so I am guessing that is for the extended map. I had to build the frame panels by hand. Do you have the "TheFrame.tif" that matches the stock AE map?

Verdugo94,

The two map mods we have been discussing are Chemkid's Yamato Damashii and WitP-AE Topo Map.

verdugo94,

That is my Pacifica Bellum map. It is a melding of a Chemkid map and the stock map.
It will be available soon.

Hey chemkid,

Maybe I missed it, but do you have an extended map version of the hexes masked for their terrain modifiers? Trying to do a little personal project on the extended map. Thanks! Trying to learn more about how to modify the map too. Any tutorials? How do you take the psd project and figure out how to cut up for the art bmp files needed in the final product, etc.?
