I believe you have discovered another piece of the recommended optimization settings for WitPAE.

The "don't scale" setting has relieved the last of the display slowness in my install, which due to my other settings only manifested with added display elements such as the search arch or supply flow shown.

The other settings that helped with graphics were the -deepColor and -dd_sw switches. I also run WitPAE in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and administrator privileges.

pyf and pxf are for resolutions that are not standard to your PC's graphics card.

-f forces resolution. I couldn't get any resolution to work other than default until I used the switch.

It is technically possible to write a simple proggie to take care of this command line formation process ? ie u run the program and it tells u what to include in the command line
