Well. I am quite happy with a one in China and no attack in Europe. [:)]

I would be even happier if we could roll lousy weather...

Edit: While we still need lousy weather that is. [:D]

Is holding onto Changsha really worth it? The Japanese got a pretty good attack on it. I would be very tempted to move one hex west, behind the river. This assumes that that hex would be supplied, of course. If it isn't, then don't go there.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

So far I think it worth it. Once Changsha is lost the supply line to the interior opens up and Japan can transport another resource out of China.

Do not worry about the lost carrier. It was the first major loss for CW (except transporters).

Edit: Although I understand the frustration with the die roller and how it resolved. [:(]

Just a very unsettling episode all round frankly. I suspect I will not be able to make much headway now until Thursday evening. I have a job interview on Thursday and will be preparing for this Monday-Wednesday.

Maybe we should put the Swordfish (cvp) as bomber? Then we can use the bomber as a result to save the fighter?

Not really. If I were the Axis I would not take Gibraltar but instead just keep the fighting going like this and bleed the Allies white. How many fighters have we now lost? This is incredible - its not like we are even at worse odds most of the time.....[:(]

Any idea what to do now? We are massively outgunned so withdrawing the Swordfish looks favourite unless we go with the what the &*($ option?

What the option sounds good to me.

Was there a special plan in the East Med since we didn't avoid combat?

Not that I mind. I am just wondering. [:)]

I thought there was a good chance to abort the Italian for no loss (given the surprise) but sadly I was mistaken. I know that no engagement was the sensible thing - but sometimes you have to go with a seat of the pants thang [&:]

I'll be more circumspect in future my Lord.

You should go with your feelings, My Lord. It was close to working as well.
