Dont seem to be able to locate saved games

If you can't tell I'm new to the game. Love it, best game in a long time for me. Anyway... current issue is I don't
to be able to locate the saved games (.save files) via the game gui. By default the save game process takes me to my
docs so I left them there. (I'm using the Steam install by the way) When I open the game and go to load a save there
aren't any in the list. I figure I could probably rename them and move them to the scenario directory but would rather
just fix the issue. Is it that the files are just in the wrong spot or have I found a known or unknown bug or what?

Maybe you missed there are two tabs on the load scenario dialog. One for scenarios and another for saved games. These filter via the file extension based on the folder you are in.

Here the path on my PC:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\Scenarios

I added my own folders so I forget the exact default path Command saves too and loads from - but I think it's Scenarios.
When you do a "file>save as", what's the path being pointed to?

Yup, unfortunately you will need to move the files into the CMANO /scenarios directory, AFAIK the game only checks that directory for .sav files and I'm not aware of a way to change that.

It defaults to the My Documents folder for my user profile so I just left them there. I have the scenario files in
the same location on my PC, including auto saves. I'll try just moving them there, maybe that's the issue.

I got my copy from Steam in August and made no changes that would affect paths that I can remember. Can't be of much other help.

I have an feeling that sometime back it was found that if the game was to save files and you had not yet saved a file or scenario, it defaulted to your 'My Documents' folder. But after that it remembers where to save them as the default. So if you don't change the default at the save time, it would stay there.
Once you tell it to save in the correct location <game folder>/Scenarios, it will always default there.
